Slow servers, broken equipment and second rate programs are used every where. If you’re looking for work/life balance you will absolutely not have it here.Įquipment is all refurbished garbage or the cheapest product on the market. Schedules are all over the place which is pretty standard for the industry, but just because it’s industry standard doesn’t mean they can’t do better. So if you’re days off are Tuesday/Wednesday then you can’t book you’re vacation time for Thursday-Monday. If you participate in the formal vacation bid the you can only request Sunday-Saturday. They are ALWAYS understaffed and deny all requests. The longer you stay with the company, the more PTO you earn, but good luck actually using it. Employee cost goes up, coverage goes down, employer HSA contribution decreases. The benefits are decent at a glance but every year they get worse. When we have those going on, TR is full of life and I love it! Now that the pandemic is coming to an end, we will have more entertainment and promotions. Lastly, I think Twin River is also a hip place to work. But I feel, in the customer service industry, it is our job to be understanding and show some empathy towards the guest. Now I won’t lie, occasionally you get a guest that might be having a bad day and lost their money and they might not be pleasant.

They know me by name, and I know them by name. Obviously not true, I’ve met so many good people and have formed so many relationships with our guests. People will say that “gamblers” are mean and rude. The guests that you will meet are great, some of them just need a little extra care. The same goes for Twin River, if you show up on time, follow the rules and are nice to the guests you will have a great time. If you pay your dues on time every month and read your contract you will never have a problem with them.

Players Club Department is part of the Laborers Union Local 271, they are a great union and will answer any questions you have about pay, benefits, membership.

They care for all of their employees no matter what people say. All of the managers from directors, department manager, supervisors are great to work with. I can’t speak for other departments, but I love my department. Next month will be 10 years I’ve been working in the Player’s Club Department, and I can say with all honesty it’s been some of the best years of my life.
